freddie, how do you know when a beat is "done"? like you stop rearranging the drum patterns, bassline, sample patterns, etc.?
not sure. i guess it’s when i get tired of editing. ha. but usually, i’ll work on the “hook” first, then just map everything out after. then add, or subtract anything after that. but sometimes, i’ll revisit older beats to make something new.
