Another great weekend with friends. A very happy birthday to my good friend Janice. Our good buddy, Eric, is the executive chef at The Dana, and served us another great 7 course meal. A great preview to restaurant week. Followed by more partying in downtown (bleh). Then had another great sunny Sunday riding bikes with Garvin.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!
Anonymous: hey freddie. other than music websites, what are some other sites you frequent?
ha.
Netflix, Unplggd, Engadget, Men’s Health, The Berrics, FFFFound!, and a few men’s fashion blogs.
peace thanks!
Anonymous: freddie, i love your catalog. You have so much music out there. Any chance of re-releasing In With Time for download?
actually. i really wanted to re-mix and re-master the album. but eventually we’ll put it up again. and i’ll include the tracks that were only on vinyl.
thanks.
strictlybuttah: I like that the music you're into at the time/post, influences the music you put out & how it sounds. Dope stuff, One Love.
peace strictlybuttah.
yeah, it usually does.
thanks.
Anonymous: Hi Freddie, on your previous blog, you posted a song that you did with Lauren Santiago. I'm slippin' on the title, but it was cover, a snippet of about 30 secs, with a jazzy vibe. Is there any way you can repost? The full song? Thanks man. Merry Christmas.
peace.
it was a cover of Chet Baker’s “But Not For Me”.
i have to search around for it, but i’ll post it up soon.
thanks!
Anonymous: freddie, how do you know when a beat is "done"? like you stop rearranging the drum patterns, bassline, sample patterns, etc.?
not sure. i guess it’s when i get tired of editing. ha. but usually, i’ll work on the “hook” first, then just map everything out after. then add, or subtract anything after that. but sometimes, i’ll revisit older beats to make something new.
thanks!
analoguestudies:

This is honestly the most humbling write up I’ve received. Not many people know what I do on a daily and its great to be acknowledged for my work.

The double whammy came when I found out that my Bandcamp page was featured for its design content. I’m a minimalist so its pretty crazy that it made the cut.
Special thanks to Universal Wax for the write up! Stay tuned for new music in 2012.
